Book Description: Two Books in One, Two Worlds in One...
Equal parts historical investigation and paranormal tell-all, Margaret Garner: Diversity and Depth Of Love is the true story of Caputo, an indie filmmaker whose research goes awry when her subject, Margaret Garner, a slave mother guilty of killing her own child, appears to her in a meditation and refuses to stay silent.
Whats revealed is a remarkable past-life connection. What unfolds is a sweeping expose of an unbelievable scandal. With a historian's eye for detail, Caputo sends readers from a slave prostitution ring in the basement of a Kentucky tavern to the corrupt federal murder trial that sent Garner back to her owners hands. Finally, as Caputo's visions guide her to the forbidden activities precipitating the child murder, the authors own journey begins to surface. Faced with a failing marriage and a breast cancer diagnosis, Caputo races to finish her story before she's left with an unthinkable decision: cut ties with her past life or risk losing her own. Diversity and Depth Of Love, with endorsements from Dr. Christiane Northrup and Charles Blockson, is a genre-bending story of transformation, redemption, and loss.
