Book Description:

We don't want things, people, or events--we want the feeling we mistake them for. You can give it to yourself any time.

This astounding realization and the practice of "Alchemy" can free you from the ups and downs of this world.

"Alchemy" is the radical reversal of current expert advice--don't try to force a good thought on a bad feeling. Use "Alchemy" and feel good first. Then good thoughts flow naturally and easily.

You are capable of much more joy than you have lived--or imagined! And you can awaken that joy right now through the practice of "Alchemy".

"The Alchemy of Love and Joy" is the end of suffering and birth of unconditional love. It came to me after a life-altering experience.

My realization came after the attempted violent suicide of my father, and his subsequent death. That sparked my quest to end suffering and find freedom. About six years later my life changed completely in one moment, inside and out.

Intense suffering was transformed by, and into, love and joy. Tears of immense gratitude flowed. Laughter burst-out uncontrollably at the simplicity and power of it. Happiness and peace have become my predominant states.

Understandings began to flow about how we have been living backwards, how we have mistaken the outside for the inside, and how we can return to truth, sanity, and peace. Immense gratitude flowed for this gift, and I was compelled to drop everything and write the book.

Using "Alchemy" you can feel good no matter what is going on around you.

Is there a purpose for suffering? Yes.

"Use suffering for the only thing it is good for--to point you toward joy!"--C. Teevens

This true story and unusual look at thoughts, the nature of suffering, ego, unconditional love, radical change, and eternal joy will have you re-thinking the nature of experience, reality, your intention, purpose--and maybe even your existence.

With gratitude--thanks everyone for visiting, voting, and commenting! Since the first two chapters of the book are short and they do not really give you an idea what the practice of Alchemy is, I have added two extra chapters. Enjoy! And I look forward to hearing from you after you vote and have received and read the complete e-book.

I cried when I read the first chapter. Very, very moving. Sounds like a book I would like to continue to read. I am amazed at how you survived through a terrible tragedy and can share it openly, and have found peace in your life. Now you wish to share that peace and joy with others. Very noble. *Debbie*

I met Cindy over a year ago at some events I help out with and I can confirm that Cindy is who she says she is, she walks her talk, and is incredibly authentic in her joy, love and vision. Cindy is quite the powerhouse, one feels her presence, it's pure pleasure being with her!

Arvetta - 06/09/2010

Thank you for sharing it all..You have made a big difference in my life

Reta - 06/10/2010

Cindy is an inspiration to me. She walks her walk and walks her talk. I personally believe that one can't take themselves too seriously and that one can't always believe what they think they know! It is freeing to realize that nobody else is responsible for the way I feel and that I can take total charge of my feelings. Cindy's fantastic quote reminds me of this and I frequently turn to it for daily levity; "Blow-out the belief that has held you captive all your life; the belief any thing outside can hurt you or make you feel good."

Tris - 06/11/2010

Hi Cindy, Your situation is poignant at best - yet very empowering. I tried to save my brother from a suicide attempt and experienced my own NDE in the process! This led me to coin a phrase: Illness begets wellness. And as I was fond of saying before my NDE episode: Even the most sublime seed must shed some chaff! Glad you can be so "mending" about your experience:) All our microcosmic alchemy will lead to macrocosmic wholeness. Blessings and Namaste` Tris

Cindy - 06/11/2010

Thank-you everyone for taking the time to read and respond! Tris, I love this: "our microcosmic alchemy will lead to macrocosmic wholeness". Far beyond a poignant story, the practice (I call Alchemy) that emerged through and after the experience is a powerful one people are applying to alter their lives. As the humble witness and facilitator, I am grateful.

Cindy - 06/11/2010

PS Tris--"Illness begets wellness" is profound and very close to what I say: "Use suffering for the only thing it is good for--to point you toward joy." I would suggest that illness (or suffering) itself does not beget wellness, but that it is an opportunity. Very glad to see you have taken yours also. Namaste :-)

Teong - 06/12/2010

Cindy's book touches on many issues that are important in my life, and provided me with the clear understanding that I was not able to obtain from the many other spiritual and manifesting books that I have read earlier. Because of this book, I am now able to quickly turn a bad feeling into a good one by using the simple and effective practice that Cindy's has so kindly shared with all of us.

Irene - 06/28/2010

Cindy, I voted again and while I did, I could see your radiant smile in front of me, which in turn made my 'soul smile' ..... guess that is, what you term the FEELING of smiles. It is so great to flow in that vibration instead of blame and hardship. I love your message thank you again and again your alchemy and joy friend, Irene
